A Renaissance viewpoint

Art & Business | Persol is publicising its collaboration with contemporary artists who have been invited to ply their trade in a room in a 15th century Florence villa, in pure Renaissance tradition. On dedicated website, Atelier Persol, this perfect villa is presented - through a mix of story-telling and sponsorship - as « A work of Persol ». It is hosting eight artists from very different backgrounds - photography, music, pœtry - including French plastic artists, Kolkoz. The eyewear brand is thus using the metaphor of the creative vision of the artist in order to strive for the excellence located somewhere between technical mastery and art.
